On the medium setting it puts out a good deal of moisture. I did sit mine on a microfiber towel otherwise on the medium setting it will get things around it wet. I didn't thunk this was a bad trade off for the great job it does in humidifying the air. I find that on medium, I have to fill the tank about every 6 hours. I really like this humidifier. I came back to this page to buy another one. ### ⭐ DO NOT BUY! Floods & Broken Buttons *by G*** on Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2020* I saw all the positive reviews and thought it would be a good product. It put out a lot of mist and was quiet so at first I was happy, but then I noticed water had pooled up all around it on the floor. And the buttons do not work well. In order to stop it from flooding the floor even more I had to unplug it because the power button would not turn it off. I thought maybe I did something wrong so I tried to clean up and figure it out again this morning but now the machine wont even turn on. I pressed the buttons for long and short presses since they do different things but nothing has worked. I put microfiber towels under it just in case, but they aren’t soaking wet the next morning like some reviews say.
