For instance the cards will have an image that does not match the word, or it's an antiquated word or something that most young children would not know. For instanceLooks like a beaver, but the word is "Marmot"Picture looks like a turtle, but the word is "Thunderbolt"Picture is cheese, but it says "yogurt"And so on. These is a high-quality product with a lot of versatility--you can play for letter recognition, letter sounds, sight words, and even for picture recognition. It is a game we'll be able to use for a long time. I was extremely disappointed. The words included were not high frequency words from any list, nor were the words ones they could easily decode. Only capital letters were used, no lower case included. The words were small and were hard to see on every set but level one. Levels 2-4 included pictures with the words. Kids will use the picture instead of learning the word. Very little instructions included. I was disappointed because I bought them to help my 5 year old grandson learn some high frequency words.
