I have several inches of clearance beyond the spare tire.I would recommend a 3x5 Flag. I have a 4x6 it misses the ground by the width of an average smartphone, but on uneven ground can contact. If going with a 4x6 I would run a 4-inch riser based on my stock vehicle above.Solid construction. Easy installation. Very satisfied. The flag flies great. I've had it up to 50 mph so far with no issues and minimal noise in fact. I was quite surprised. Very slight whisps and snaps of fabric very faint. Easily covered by radio in the vehicle.EDIT: No wobble or excessive noise or problems if installed properly. There is a stabilization clamp/plate. The item is solid. I have gotten to 60 mphs. No issues. The safety/security screws provide decent security if your flag. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I don’t usually write reviews but... *by B***N on July 25, 2018* As the title say I don’t usually waste the tine to write review but I had to give fanpole a shout out, the price may scare people away because many people do a pvc hitch hack but this fanpole is built 10x better and will last much longer, I just received mine and don’t have the tons of miles but the build and security of the hitch mount and tightening screws will last, the one thing I wish was different is that the tightening screws have to be tightened/loosened with a hex key, so any time you need to tighten or take off you must have that key, so keep it in your truck/suv all the time basically, it looks great and doesn’t wobble around like others I’ve tried out. Makes it easy to fly the red white and blue with pride at cruising and highway speeds, highway will shred most flags after a short amount of time but this at cruising is unbeatable! Would buy again and recommend to a friend/ anyone who asks about mine! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Product *by B***L on February 12, 2020* I purchased this soley to fly my team flag around during the week leading up to the SuperBowl but have since changed to Old Glory. I have successfully driven 65 mph, and yes the flag gets worn out fast as most reviews state. The pole has a little wobble at those speeds but is not going to break or fall off as long as you assembled everything correctly. I haven't had any issues with the flag clamps sliding up and down or breaking (yet), I have only had the pole for two full weeks, although I did break the FP ball off the top of the pole. I misjudged the height when I went into a parking garage. I am ordering a replacement off of their webpage. I love this pole!!!
