I expected it to maybe smell like turmeric, but it smells soft and very nice. The lather is soft and creamy. This soap lasts very well. I usually purchase local handmade soap and this lasts much longer than my usual soap, which melts away quickly. I'm enjoying this turmeric soap and it could easily become my usual soap. Turmeric is amazing stuff and it does seem to be healing to the blemished areas of my face. I only wish it lasted longer. It lathers nicely but I used it all in 2 weeks (only in areas I have discoloration). It has about half the amount of the average bar of dove soap. Because of the price and how often I use it, the cost will add up fast.
