Review: It eventually got all the flies - strangely the smarter flies couldn't escape at nite. the white bases at the ends didn't stay balanced without something holding it up or if left it sideways, that was my only gripe not as messy as the one with the thumbtack !!!!

I used this product next to a homemade trap consisting of a bowl of apple cider vinegar with a few drops of dish soap covered with cling wrap with holes for the flies to enter. The homemade trap does in fact work, however this trap collected many more flies thank the homemade trap. I would buy this product again.

**Q: How to remove sticky stuff from cat’s fur??**
A: OMG! I know the answer to this.  I yanked off the fly strip and got out my lighter fluid.  I wiped my cats tail down with the lighter fluid, wiped off the excess and then washed his tail with some mild shampoo, rinsed and dried off his tail.  This was about 10 days ago and he had no reaction.  Just make sure you get all the lighter fluid off.  Could be a two person job depending on the cat!  May the force be with you!

**Q: Will it work with mosquitos?**
A: It might, it didn't work with our flies, but caught some gnats.

**Q: Does this work for blow flies?**
A: Seems to work on all flying insects. I have a insect zoo on some of these.

**Q: Might it work(better?) on moths, which are attracted to light(the yellow color)?**
A: Not sure I just use them in the house.  They keep the fruit flys and mites off my plants.  Work great and last a long time..

this was a total waste and i wish it just ended there. i had 6 or 7 flies in my living room and kitchen. i closed all the windows and doors and set this trap out for 3 days. it did not catch a single fly. used the bait, etc. it left sticky residue on my fingers which was difficult to wash off. then my long hair cat somehow came in contact with the trap and it stuck to her hair. just an awful, awful mess. these are poorly designed, flimsy and messy. and didn't catch a single fly in 3 days of use.
