I used it to check which corners a cat had been using for a toilet and, yes the parfum de chat does fluoresce under this light - provided you hold the lamp within a couple of feet of the affected surface. Obviously, if you're using this to check the authenticity of banknotes, you'll need to pass the light over them even closer, and again this works very well - I never knew the 10 in a Β£10 note could look so colourful!
