Never had an issue with leaking and have been doing it for well over a decade. Also, they hold a lot more than you think. **Q: Is this child proof?** A: No, this has a single latch on the side and then each compartment has its own door. A child would be able to get into it given that there is no multiple opening mechanism (like a pill bottle). **Q: Is this sturdy and secure enough to withstand jostling at the bottom of a backpack?** A: I think the exterior snaps could survive that, but the interior compartments don't snap really tight. **Q: Can you put antacids in the bigger section ?** A: I keep about 20 Tylenol Arthritis caplets in one side and other medicines in the other, so yes, it will fit a handful of antacids. This is exactly what I was looking for, a container to organize different kinds of pills for when you're on the go I'm not sure what needs might arise. Each compartment can hold different types of pills. One star is deducted because the tabs are hard to open if you lose or close the plastic pic (opener) in a compartment and because it's hard to fit certain larger pills/tabs with only two large compartments.
