I just kept looking back at the pictures on Amazon to see how they go together. **Q: Does this cut through thin leather?** A: These are only one D flat templates. You draw through them with pen or pencil and then cut out the outlines. These are not Metal Die Cutters or Steel Rule Die cutters. So they do not CUT anything not paper or cardstock or leather as you asked. Just draw and cut out with scissors or craft knife depending your tools and material you drew on. I do not recommend for heavy thick craftboard or heavy leathers. Soft and thinner pleather and coverstock would probably be ok. I hate to use scissors on the rough metalic covered papers or vinyls so prefer a Die cutter myself too. But I gifted a lady some fabrics in colors I would never use that people make bows out of and she has a new grand daughter who would benefit with the bows etc. so these were ideal as she has no embosser/cutting machine. You can also find digital templates to buy or find free to download for cricuts and other digital paper cutters. I own an Inspiration by Pazzle but many others out there. Again I actually prefer the metal cutting dies to my digital cutter as no adjustments needed to run through. Each however has it's benefits. PS copy paste these photos and you could print and enlarge and reduce or change to make and cut out your own template. Better still custom design by starting with a simple template. Look on line or google for free templates for bow making. You may find ideal sizes you like to then change up and make fancier. I'm searching for a butterfly and a dragon fly right now to incorporate into my bow designs.
