I own both and prefer the Sangean 200x for everyday use. **Q: Can anyone compare distant AM station reception to other pocket radios such as the CC SW Pocket or the Sangean DT-210?** A: As far as the As far as the CC pocket goes, it's very good for FM and weather. The AM is okay but not great. I have a 15 dollar sony that does just as well and a 100 dollar Grundig G6 that outperforms it. One good thing I can say is that there is no override by the more powerful local stations. **Q: does this radio come with a power cord too or will it only run on batteries?** A: No power Cord, BUT, the way I use this GREAT RADIO! ! ! Is buy 4 rechargeable AA batteries and charger as this will save you a lot of $$$ on batteries anyway, then put one set of 2 batteries in the radio, and then you have 2 more batteries to swap out when the first set needs charging. Note this Radio runs about 100hours per charge, so for a Emergency Radio it will last for a while with 4 batteries. a small solar panel that can charge these batteries I a couple hours and you are set. **Q: Can you disable the beep in the Speaker? I don't really like having the beep in the speaker when changing pages or presets.** A: The beep can be disabled. With the power "Off," press and hold memory button #3 for two seconds. All beeps will be disabled except Alarm and WX Alert. Battery is draining quickly! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best little portable sleep radio ever. *by M***. on 17 July 2019* I have had countless sleep radios for over 30 years, and I can honestly say that this one is far and away the best I have ever had. Once the favourite stations are stored in the memory it is a breeze to turn it on and off, switch between stations, and set the play duration of the chosen channel, all by easy and intuitive feel of the buttons. The other fabulous bonus is that the earpieces on the earphones fit comfortably in my small ear, and give great sound even with just one earpiece in use, which is a bonus if the other ear is buried deep in a pillow. The earphone wires do not get tangled up or become kinked with use, which has always been a major hassle with other makes. The actual radio is so small that I just tuck it under my pillow at night. If I awaken again after the playing time has expired, just one touch of a button will connect to the previous setting of station and duration. And if you have good eyesight the screen is backlit for clarity in the dark. My husband is happy that I am no longer fidgeting with my radio in the middle of the night, and I am happy that the sound quality of speech is so clear that I can have it set to a very low volume and still hear the programme. I give it a 10 out of 10.The battery life is also much longer than with other radios I have had, including expensive Sony ones, when they were made, which they are not any more.
