Its thick and sturdy, i dont slide when on it. It soaks up sweat and doesnt slip around on my rug. The design is very eye pleasing and catching, i love the pink tones.The downside is that it is quite heavy. Those with weak wrists or who cant loft much even with the handle straps may find this a bit much and cumbersome for them. It also picks up everything from the floor when rolling it up. The bottom is solid; has good traction to the floor. I tried spraying down the mat with water and it helped so I can see how it works better the more you sweat; however, it dries quickly and there is no way I could sweat enough to get the effect I need. Too expensive for a mat I can't use everyday at home (hot yoga only). The design was beautiful but got dirty quick from my feet.
