This is a sturdy jar, made with thick heavy glass. The spigot attaches easily and does NOT drip. Being glass, it doesn't retain any odor from whatever is stored in it. The strainer works well for coffee, tea and even fresh fruit if you are having a gathering and just want flavored water. We put this on the middle rack in the fridge and the spigot easily clears the door, so it doesn't have to be moved except to clean and refill. I usually add a little bit of cool water to the bottom of it and then boil my tea and an electric kettle. I then add the hot tea directly to the container. It works great and it will hold the tea for a couple weeks before it gets bad. It fits well in the refrigerator and doesn’t take up too much space. I don’t know that I would want much larger a size due to the weight on the glass shelves of the refrigerator. It does seem to be pretty durable and I usually hand wash it and it does fine. I just make sure that I run some water and soapy water through the spigot part. Definitely a good value for what you’re getting. I wanted to go with glass so that I didn’t have hot tea going into plastic and potentially releasing PFAS. Metal top lid can be a little tricky to get aligned, but there’s no need to necessarily over tighten it.
