Believe me, I was skeptical and not sold on this product at first and thought it would feel like a normal "sponge". Well, this sponge has a different texture and feel. It is very soft and jelly-squishy like when wet and softened. The sponge gently cleans and scrubs/exfoliates your skin to rid of dead skin. It has no smell and is very simple to use. I wasn't sure if it would work or do anything but after a few swipes across my t-zone, I looked at the sponge and was amazed at all the yucky, gunky make-up that came off onto the sponge. The sponge is very easy to clean and rinse out although I recommend being gentle in the process as to not damage/tear the sponge. I've also used the sponge with my cleanser and it feels amazing and cleans more thoroughly. My skin feels cleaner and softer. I was drawn to the fact this is a natural product. The sponges are extremely hard and rough when they arrive. The directions say to give it a good soak in water before the first use. I thought there was no way it was going on my face but after it was completely saturated- it was a lot softer. These are actually a great gentle exfoliation tool. I used it once at night with my normal cleanser. The sponge only lasts about a month before it tears up- but you should never use the same sponge on your face longer than that due to bacteria and mold. I love the fact the sponge dries pretty fast, that allows it to be used for a couple weeks without worrying about bacteria or mold growth.I took a star because I feel like there is no actual benefits to the charcoal and tea tree versions. I've researched charcoal for beauty use and it being attached to a sponge is going to give minimal results and benefits.I would buy these again.
