Keep in mind it is 1/4" thick giving it a decent weight which is almost too much for my purpose of woodworking. I don't expect it to loose accuracy from minor drops to the ground (that is unless by chance I ever drop it off a second story roof which would not be minor and even then I doubt it may cause an issue with it). I wanted something I could rely on that was durable not only for marking but also checking angles and setting up various tools but did not want to invest a whole pay check especially just for my personal use. This one will serve me very well and will last me forever. Base doesn't line up with the edge of the long beam. Allen screws that hold on the base were poorly drilled and and not centered on the mail beam.
