Hard work to fit *by J***6 on 23 December 2023* Soft fabric. Zip is reasonable quality. Worth saying that it is a proper pain to get on a king size mattress but that is to be expected for an encasement cover so wouldn't deduct a star for that. I couldn't do it on my own and I am a fit agile person. Bought yo protect the mattress from dust etc so can't comment on waterproof qualities. Fits well - once it's on.
