Forming a mate becomes easier because of the hollowed shape. But i think this is too expensive at around 5k. But yes it is strong rigid and also contains good volume. Suggested for people who drink yerba whole day.

**Q: does it come with the yerba mate?**
A: No. A kilo of yerba mate is about $13-15. Try CBSe if you like a more herbal tea experience.

**Q: What is the difference between the two different bombillas? How do you decide which to use?**
A: I preferred the round one I’m used to that type of bombilla.

**Q: Is the gourd 18/8 food grade stainless steel?**
A: Not sure, but I sure LOVE this product!!!

**Q: The product information says "product care instructions: machine wash, hand wash only" which is it? can i put it in the dishwasher?**
A: It says it's double walled stainless steel. Normally those are hand wash only as changes in temperature (high heat of a dishwasher) can result in expansion or contraction of the stainless steel & potential breaks in the seams. if seams become compromised water can enter between the walls of the mug. My understanding is the same can happen if you put the tumbler/mug in the fridge. I have done both in the past with no issues, until I read why one shouldn't.Apparently the more often you do it, the more likely the seam can break.
