They go on pretty easily and the elastic is strong enough to actually hold them up. They withstand the overspray from the water hose but best of all I have to walk across gravel with them on and they do not show any wear at all. I can wear these time and time again. The elastic at the ankle keep the large foot bed from tripping me. It was a snug fit and you had to really work with, but it worked just fine. They seemed to hold up good. Now I didn't do any major work in them, but they held up well for what I did do. They would be perfect to fit over any work boot if you needed tall boot covers. They were also made of fairly thick material.
