I bought two of them one for myself and one for my fiance. Both of them chewed through batteries like nothing and within a month both of them died. Very awkward to use. They've been the hell out of your bristles. The bottom is open so any water leaks through to your countertop. As far as to whether the ultraviolet light actually sterilizes your toothbrush your guess is as good as mine. In any case these are poorly designed pieces of garbage and unfortunately I missed my opportunity to return them because I ordered them right before we moved and they sat unopened in the box for a few months before I actually had a chance to try them, so that's on me.
