The external magnetic brake lets you tune casting control quickly. Start with a higher setting and tighter spool tension, then loosen gradually for longer casts. **Q: Which gear ratio should I choose?** A: Choose 5.3:1 for crankbaits and slower retrieves with more control. Choose 7.1:1 for faster pickup when pitching jigs, burning baits, or taking up slack line. **Q: How much line does it hold?** A: Capacity varies by model: 7.1:1 holds 30lb braid/120yd or 10lb mono/120yd. 5.3:1 holds 30lb braid/145yd or 10lb mono/195yd. Avoid overfilling. **Q: Can I use light line?** A: It works best with proper baitcaster line sizes. Very light line may slip into gaps during backlash, so beginners may prefer heavier mono, fluoro, or braid first. ## Frequently Bought Together - Piscifun Torrent Baitcasting Reel 18LB Carbon Fiber Drag Baitcasters Unequaled Affordable High-tech Innovation Baitcast Fishing Reels - Vicloon 120 PCS Fishing Lures Mixed Including Spinners,VIB,Treble Hooks,Single Hooks,Swivels,Pliers and Tackle Box - HEYOMART Fishing Landing Net Telescope Foldable Collapsible Extensible for Bird Fish Catch Release Lightweight Portable Aluminum Alloy Frame Handle --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/184405096-piscifun-torrent-baitcasting-reel-18lb-carbon-drag-magnetic-brake](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/184405096-piscifun-torrent-baitcasting-reel-18lb-carbon-drag-magnetic-brake) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
