I stayed home from work anticipating the arrival of my hoop, from previous reviews I knew it had to sit a while to unravel- so I "patiently" waited. To speed up the process I used a hair dryer to warm it. Once it was done I connected the tube to the black adapter included, and I was good to go. I have the large version (I'm considered to be plus size), for me personally I like that is a little heavier than most hoops. After a few rounds you really began to feel it. The first one was very easy for me to use, and held up very well despite leaving out in the backyard, but finally, the elements did it in. I don't recall having to put it together when I first got it. If I did the instructions were clear and no issues. My recent purchase of a Canyon Hoop did not go as well. The instructions were confusing. Getting answers were slow. It may have gotten a little warped in the process of getting it ready for use and also does not seem as weighted as my first hoop. It is much harder for me to use.
