We had NO water migration though our clothing, boots or hats. We sprayed the product on every type of cloth, cotton, canvas, leather and nylon. The product worked great, from snow fields, or mist rain fall.Suggest you apply at least 2 coating to every thing (one can will do it and leave some for later).DO NOT APPLY INDOORS, IT STINKS BEFORE IT DRYS. After drying the product has no smell to it.Hope this helps .... **Q: How long does it take to dry?** A: It depends on the weather, humidity,& how thick you spray it on. I used it on flags. I laid them flat on the ground in the afternoon sun. Then I turned them over and sprayed the other side. I wasn't in a hurry & left them on one side about an hour then did the other. I think it states it only takes about 30 minutes to dry at the most. I've also used it on cushions, patio umbrellas & the dogs rain coats. It really does work. Colors don't fade either.
