I was not willing to give up cabinet space in order to have a fancier hood. I also was not willing to reroute the existing ductwork.Like other reviews even though it is set up to vent outside a small amount of the air does come back thru the recirculation vents.The light is dim.The icons under the buttons are wearing off.And the hood top sticks out past the bottom of my 12" cabinets and you can see the mounting holes that I was unable tu utilise. That's okay though. I knew the measurements before I ordered it. I covered this ledge with a piece of trim that matches our countertop edging. It's held in place with a thin full length magnet. This gives the hood a finished look.Over all I am happy with this hood. It fit my needs and I'm very thankful I found it.
