It might make a good night shirt, but it may keep my wife awake. It's awfully bright. She's not a very fitful sleeper. She doesn't like any noise or any light when she tries to sleep. This shirt might be an issue for her. I don't want to have to sleep on the couch. It's not very comfortable. This is a Great Summer shirt. It is thicker then my Under Armour Fishing shirt, but the mesh back and side helps it breathe better on hot days, and it feels really cool when I walk in the air conditioned building. If you are okay with this shirts thickness (which is probably comparable to your average cotton t-shirt). I would say the reward of how it keeps you cool should be worth it. The fit for this shirt says "comfortable" and it certainly is! You don't want it to be too baggy, so definitely go with the smaller size. Great product! Had to return an X-Large for a Large and I had absolutely no problem returning it.
