Review: Perfect for my big head - I bought the khaki one. I've been through two pairs of earmuffs and at least two headbands plus a beanie hat I was given for free. None of them worked well on my big head. Well, one pair of earmuffs was okay but I left them on the bus. This was my last resort as I needed something that would cover my head without slipping up as always happened with the other things I tried. I was worried these would be too small as my head circumference was within a tenth of an inch of the maximum recommended. But I was pleasantly surprised to discover the hat is loose on me and has plenty of room. It stayed where I needed it to stay. I could see how someone might find it too big, but I appreciated the extra room. Plus it's a soft enough material the top just folds over instead of sticking up straight as happened with my previous beanie cap. Kept my ears and head warm, which is all I wanted. And it looks nice. Very happy with it.

If you are seeing what I see... The solid pale color looks (Gray) I happen to purchase 2 of the multi color beanies.  To be sure, call Amazon C/S or contact the seller before you purchase it to be sure.  I hope this helps.

A: I have been saving mine for Spring.  It's very light weight.  I think that it could snag.

**Q: Lining material - is it silky or is it more like fleece or cotton?**
A: The lining does not have a rough cotton feel, but is more like a bedsheet quality--not slippery like silk. I find it quite comfortable and do not notice any irritation. The hat is a large size, which is perfect for me (a male with a large head--regular hats seem to be tight and leave a "crease" in my skull after awhile). I have a variety of this hat style and this is my number one go-to in colder weather.

This thing is GORGEOUS. Silky smooth on the inside with a frankly kind of mesmerizing pattern on the outside, if you get the rainbow version. I get compliments on it left and right. I'm finding it works fairly well even in hot weather (I like to cover my head) and while I haven't had a chance to try it in cold weather yet, I'm guessing just by heft that the material is versatile enough to work in both extremes. It's stretchy, didn't break the bank, and goes with pretty much everything, which was the idea when purchasing it. Have *zero* regrets and hope you don't either.
