You need to make some adjustments to get the spanner to fit correctly but it definitely fits perfectly. In the end, my solution was to use the spanner to keep the screw in place and then I had use an adjustable wrench to twist the coupler until it finally came off. I didn’t want to strip the threads of the screw by forcing it off with a flat head screwdriver (which a lot of the videos used). I also used the spanner to hold the screw in place so I could screw on the new replacement coupler.
