It works. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Do not use to power an amplifier *by C***E on November 12, 2022* I am using this to power a 160-watt amplifier that runs off 36 VDC. The power supply does its job well and the amplifier is not starved for power; however, I noticed that the speakers would periodically give a pretty good "pop" sound. With some sleuthing, I figured out that it was caused by the brief power interruption from when my furnace starts up its cycle - not the blower fan, but the exhaust fan which starts before the flame ignites. This power supply was already behind a surge suppressor, but that didn't help; I tried three different such devices to make sure. I also confirmed that this was not a problem with a different power supply.My advice is that, if you use this for an amplifier, expect an occasional pop noise anytime a motor (that uses a startup capacitor) starts up in your home.One possible solution is to add at least one large-value electrolytic capacitor to the DC output to smooth the DC - at least one or more 10-farad, 50-volt electrolytic capacitors.
