    Perfect for Holley 4160 marine carbs

Installed this in a vintage Holley 4160 marine carb with a new flexible fuel line between the fuel pump and the carb. The old metal fuel line had a screen on the carb inlet fitting, but the new inlet fitting for the flexible line did not. So this was a perfect solution.Installed it so that the open end of the filter element faces the incoming fuel line. The spring went into the bowl first, then the brass filter element, then the smaller gasket inside the inlet fitting, and then inlet fitting with the larger gasket sealing the inlet fitting to the bowl.Holley advertises these for bowls with the center hung floats, but they also work great with certain  bowls that have the side hung floats.And they do filter out virtually all particulate matter. You won't believe how clean the fuel in your carb is...P.S. Use a nylon washer (instead of aluminum) with the fuel inlet fitting. It seals better and with less torque.

Also includes the bypass spring (not pictured). Remember that the open end of the filter element faces the incoming fuel line. Bypass spring goes in the bowl first, then filter element, then smaller gasket inside the inlet fitting, then inlet fitting, with larger gasket sealing the inlet fitting to the bowl.Used these on my 4160 (3310-2) which uses the secondary metering plate, not block. I have a Mr. Gasket fuel line, which is more for sentimental reasons than quality (trying to keep my car as when I bought it when I was 16). No leaks, yet.Good price, about the same as ordering directly from Holley, but amazon offers Prime shipping.Amazon smushed mine in transit, they were in too small of a package, not the carriers' fault. But I'll get over it.
