I use them daily for a 1 and 9 year old they are perfect for us because my apartment is carpet everywhere even in the dining room. They use them for painting, slime/playdoh, they like sitting on the floor to do arts and crafts, also great for our living room floor lunch picnics and movie nights, my 9 year old likes building and it’s a good mat to place on the floor or table to protect it from any accidental tool slips, we have also used them as dissection mats for homeschool and I’m sure we will find other uses for them. They are thicker but still lay flat, very durable and easy to clean and sanitize between uses. They also dry very quickly.
