These are nice gloves, I got medium, I measured round my knuckles at 22cm, these are a tad tight to pull on but once on do fit well. I bought in the UK and I think for most condidtions for hill walking or up the mountains in the lake district or dales in Yorkshire etc these will be fine. But I bought them for a work trip to Latvia where at the time it was -15' degrees and after ten minutes my finger ends were very cold and numb so don't believe the -30 nonsence if you need serious winter gloves.
