It was pretty easy to assemble. It is pretty heavy but has wheels to roll it where it needs to go. To be honest, a plucker is not a cheap item but it is so nice to have. It does the job well. It does not come apart for cleaning but we found it drains pretty good. There is just a shoot down at the bottom where all the feathers come out. I just gathered them up and put them in the compost.
