The directions were kind of vague and written on the inside of the lid.After washing off in the shower I just ran it along my back running it under the shower head every few strokes to get rid of the cut hairs. After about 5 minutes I felt my back and it felt smooth. I followed the advice on the box and briefly ran cold water in the shower in order to close up the pores of my back. Checked in the mirror and didn't see any hair. Followed up with rubbing alcohol and expected it to sting but barely felt anything.So overall I'm pleased with this product, it's definitely preferable to contorting my body to reach the middle of my back with a T-edger, scratching my back all the while.
