## Description

Product Description "Trying for a baby? It can feel like a guessing game at times, so knowing your most fertile days each cycle is a must. With the Clearblue Fertility Monitor with Touch Screen (Monitor de fertilidad Clearblue con pantalla tactil), you can identify which days you’re most likely to get pregnant. Clearblue Fertility Monitor Test Sticks are designed for use with Clearblue Fertility Monitor with Touch Screen (Monitor de fertilidad Clearblue con pantalla tactil), which is designed to detect all your fertile days[1]. Each home fertility test refill pack includes 30 individually wrapped test sticks. Most women will need 10 tests each cycle, while women with irregular or long cycles may have to use 20 tests each cycle. They must be used with the Clearblue Fertility Monitor (sold separately). The monitor works by tracking both estrogen and luteinizing hormone (LH) to typically identify up to 6 fertile days. It tells you when to test your urine and displays your daily fertility status as Low, High, or Peak. Its easy-to-use touch screen also lets you record your period dates and when you have sex and can compare up to 6 cycles in either a monthly calendar or graph for side-by-side comparison[3]. [1] Number of fertile days will vary. In a German study of 149 cycles, Monitor results correlated with serum hormone levels & ultrasound-observed ovulation. [2] Clearblue Ovulation assay showed 97% agreement with ultrasound-observed ovulation. Behre HM., et al. Human Reproduction (2000) 15: 2478-82. [3] Completed cycle data if available." From the Manufacturer To use the Clearblue® Fertility Monitor – the #1 brand recommended by OB/GYNs – to maximize your chances of getting pregnant, you will need to purchase the Clearblue Fertility Monitor Test Sticks separate from the device. Clearblue Fertility Monitor Test Stick packs include 30 individually wrapped test sticks. The majority of women will need 10 test sticks each cycle. Women with irregular or long cycles may have to use 20 test sticks each cycle.About the Clearblue Fertility MonitorTaking conception to the next level, the Clearblue Fertility Monitor maximizes a woman’s chances of conceiving a baby by identifying 3x more fertile days compared to traditional ovulation tests. This electronic, hand-held monitor tracks a woman’s personal cycle, detecting two key ovulation hormones: luteinizing hormone (LH) and estrogen. Using the two hormones, the device can pinpoint not only a woman’s 2 peak fertility days, but also 1-5 additional high fertility days prior to ovulation – for a total of up to 6 fertile days.Benefits of Using the Clearblue Fertility MonitorIt has been shown to accurately predict ovulation when compared to serum hormone measurements and vaginal ultrasound scans2, but testing can be done at home and at a fraction of the cost.It gives a more accurate indication of more fertile days than any other home method. It’s quick, easy to use, and easy to understand. The Monitor indicates when to test and the level of fertility every day, requiring no subjective interpretation. It personalizes to a woman’s cycle, storing her information for up to six previous menstrual cycles. It’s natural – no drugs or invasive devices and procedures. It gives advance notice of Peak Fertility, so couples can plan intercourse at their convenience. How the Fertility Monitor WorksThere are only a few days per cycle when a woman is fertile and can conceive. The following chart outlines the phases of a woman’s menstrual cycle, showing how the two most fertile days coincide with the LH surge (24-36 hours before ovulation) and the release of an egg (ovulation). These are a woman’s 2 best days to conceive a baby. However, it is generally acknowledged that sperm can survive up to 5 days in the sperm-supportive mucus found in a woman’s body during the fertile days of her cycle meaning there is a fertile window of typically up to 6 days: 5 days before ovulation plus the day of ovulation. Traditional ovulation tests like Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test track the LH hormone and identify a 2 day window of fertility. But the Fertility Monitor also tracks estrogen levels, which rise just before the LH surge, extending the fertile window typically up to 6 days. This extended window can help to reduce the time it takes to conceive2 as it gives more days to try, plus gives advance notice of the 2 peak days.Testing DirectionsThe Fertility Monitor is easy to use and gives you clear accurate results. On the first day of your period, you will press the M button to let the monitor know a new cycle has begun. Each day, you must switch on the Monitor and follow its directions. On mornings when the Monitor requires further information about your hormone changes, a test will be requested.Simply remove the test stick from its wrapper. (The majority of women need 10 test sticks each cycle. Women with irregular or long cycles may have to use 20 test sticks each cycle.) Point the Sampling End of the test stick downstream in your urine for 3 seconds.Take the cap off the handle and place it over the Sampling End of the test stick and remove any excess urine.Holding the test stick by the cap, insert the test into the Monitor’s Test Stick Slot, pressing down until it clicks into place. The display will flash for approximately 5 minutes while reading your information. After 5 minutes, the Remove Test Stick symbol will flash. Once you have removed the test stick, your fertile status will be displayed.Low fertility = very small chance of conceiving High fertility = increased chance of conceiving Peak fertility = highest chance of conceivingTesting for PregnancyWhen you’re ready to test for pregnancy, choose a brand and product you can trust. In the Clearblue Pregnancy Test Buying Guide, we outline the different features of pregnancy tests so you can feel maximum confidence throughout the entire conception process.More about Predicting OvulationAs the diagram above illustrates, timing is key when trying to conceive a baby. While there are manual charting and calculator methods that may be used to predict ovulation, these methods often fall short. They require tracking a woman’s typical cycle length over several months. However, every woman’s cycle is unique and cycles for any one woman can vary from cycle to cycle – making calendar-based predictions unreliable prediction as well as time-consuming. That’s why Clearblue provides a range of products to help predict ovulation without months of charting. You can learn more about predicting ovulation and which method is right for you in our Ovulation Test Buying Guide.1 Behre HM et al. Review: Matches other results - Okay. :-) This is a long review. For those trying to get pregnant: I used this monitor along with the ClearBlue digital OPK, some cheap LH OPK strips from desertcart (blue box with colorful words about pregnancy), a pocket microscope to track ferning, and a BBT thermometer to track basal temp along with the Period Tracker app (pink flower app) and my FitBit Versa women wellness app section. EACH METHOD MATCHED. Everything down to my predicted ovulation on my tracking apps (was off by a day on both) lined up with an LH surge and peak fertility. I believe this can be trusted to help get pregnant, but do maybe 3-4 cycles—probably by cycle 4 you will be pregnant! For those just trying out tracking methods: This device is a powerful asset to the tools out there now for at home tracking of LH surges and estrogen level increases. I wouldn’t use it by itself because it may read incorrectly or display an error, which would have been EXTREMELY disheartening if I were trying to get pregnant and that was my only testing method—this thing is expensive, BUT THE TEST STICKS ARE ROBBERY. I was dumb and bought mine at CVS because they weren’t in stock anywhere else and I had to test the next morning so I couldn’t order them in time from desertcart—THEY WERE $80! I digress.... Anyway, the monitor stores your info for 6 months then deletes your first month to make room for month 7, so keep that in mind. It was accurate with my other tracking methods but was a little annoying to use because you can only set it up to test ON DAYS 1-4 OF YOUR CYCLE and your testing window of 6 hours CANNOT BE CHANGED ONCE YOU CHOOSE IT. Choose your window wisely and take into account if you sleep in on the weekends, as I missed my window by 30 minutes once and almost missed it a second time. For those wanting it as contraception: I hope this was your ultimate last resort or you’re rolling in dollars, because this thing plus the test sticks are expensive. You would DEFINITELY be better off buying the cheap LH test strips on the market and maybe using 1 or 2 other methods that are free to you (checking cervical position/texture and cervical mucus). Otherwise, this is just another tool to help you keep track of your lady cycle (did I mention it’s expensive...?) and it is wholly unnecessary when condoms and Plan B’s exist. It is nice to have and it has an easy-to-read calendar which makes avoiding your fertile days a breeze, but keep in mind that just because your fertile window has passed, it doesn’t mean you can’t still get pregnant. Use caution when trying NOT to conceive—these products are mostly for those wanting to become pregnant so they aren’t on your side to begin with! Overall it worked for me, I was thrilled with the results and I believe this will help me get pregnant when I am ready. It matched other OPK tests, my saliva ferned in time with the results, and my body temp increased as I approached ovulation and went back to normal after. The test window was a pain though. However, if you use the dip method (essential if you’re using multiple tests) it is potentially less annoying and you probably won’t waste a stick because I used the monitor sticks with the ClearBlue Advanced Digital monitor and they matched. Couldn’t use the Digital sticks with the monitor, though, even though they seem the same. But if you’re out of options except a fertility specialist and the money is worth it to you, GET THIS THING. It worked for me. (33 day cycle, no ovarian issues). I don’t regret buying it, but I also had a very positive first experience with it. It arrived right on time for me to set it up on day 4 of my cycle.
Review: Happy With My Purchase - My husband convinced me to buy this "dumb" monitor (no apps, no wifi connection) and I'm honestly glad that's what we went with in the end. This does the bare minimum needed and it does it perfectly well. We ended up getting pregnant in only three months! Some "downsides" - you cannot change the testing time frame until your next period, but I think that's just a practical need for any fertility testing. It also is annoying to have to wait 5 minutes to see the results, but not too bad. As a warning, I did have trouble getting a steady result the first month I was off birth control. The instruction manual warned that it can take up to two months to get accurate results after stopping birth control. Just something to keep in mind for any fertility testing!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Whats the difference between this & ClearblueAdv other than the fact it remembers cycles? They both track the same hormones so why get this?**
A: I love this fertility monitor bc the opk just tell you to test between certain days. The thing is starting day 6 you turn the monitor on and it tells you to test or not test and you can tell low high or peak. With this info some people don't realize they ovulate earlier than typical 14th day of the cycle. So by starting on the 5th or 6th day of the cycle you can catch it. With it keeping track of your cycle you can also mark which days you have sex and take the tracker with you to your dr appt. I have MTHFR which basically means my body does break down folic acid and my body automatically starts shutting off the blood supply as soon as I'm pregnant and my body doesn't produced enough progesterone. So I usually have to take supplements. I have had 3 miscarriages before I had my son with the first edition clearblue fertility monitor. We have been trying since jan 2017 for our second child using letrozole and a trigger shot with no result. This is the first month I have used the new monitor and preseed and got a positive pregnancy test. I understand the concern on pricing but trust me the first edition monito was $200 and this one is def better and the price is more affordable. If I can help answer any other questions don't hesitate to ask. I hope this helped you make a decision.

**Q: I have my Clear Blue Easy monitor from 2009. Will it work with these sticks? Have the sticks remained the same, or changed, since 2009?**
A: They havent changed, they will still work

**Q: Can i use the pregmate ovulation test strips with this monitor?**
A: NO! I didn't know and could not find the fertility test strip anywhere in the local stores and unfortunately missed the cycle. The seller should make it clear what's specifically needed for this to work.

**Q: The description says 10 sticks are needed monthly on average. Have you found this to be true?**
A: It depends on how long your cycles are. If you're pretty regular, 28 days, 10-12 sticks monthly is accurate.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pregnant After 2 Months of Trying with ClearBlue Fertility Monitor!! It Works, People!
*by S***9 on July 23, 2018*

I ordered the Clearblue Fertility Monitor to help me detect my exact ovulation dates. I have uterine fibroids and felt like the phone apps I was using were not as accurate. My OBGYN and primary health visits are always clear: you should have no issue conceiving. After several months of "focused, tracking, monitoring, using apps" trying to conceive (December 2017-May 2018), I researched products, and decided, based upon prior verified reviews of the Clearblue Fertility monitor, that I would order one. I ordered the machine in May 2018, but could not use it because I missed the logging window for my cycle. I used it in June 2018 and did not conceive. I had 5 High days and maybe 2-3 peak days. The process was very easy. You calibrate the machine. Enter your new cycle. Set the time you wish to take the test each day. Take the test daily and wait until the machine gives you your High Days and Peak Days. Then, you enjoy intimacy with your partner on the suggested days. P.S. I suggest that you use a cup when testing versus your urine stream. RESULTS: It is now July 2018, and I am 4 weeks, 3 days pregnant. This monitor works and my hubby and I are so blessed. Our bundle arrives March 2019. If you have a condition like fibroids or have been trying to conceive using phone apps, stop wasting your time and tears. Order this machine and the sticks. Yes, the machine is 100 plus and the sticks are 70ish, but the cost of the products far outweigh the mental and emotional anguish one may feel after months and months of trying. In my case, I was simply missing my peak days. I would never have known this had I not bought the monitor. We are excited. So, good luck to all families trying to conceive. I have several friends who spent thousands on fertility treatments. I wonder if they could have saved their money by simply buying this machine. I am living proof that this machine works. It only took two months using the machine for it to work. Really, the instructions inform users that the machine has to get to know your body. You do the math. I was married in July 2017 and began seriously trying in December 2017. I was unsuccessful for five months. After only two months, I'm not pregnant nearly one year to the date of our wedding. Don't over think this process. Order the machine. READ THE DIRECTIONS. Give it a shot. If it doesn't work, then seek alternative methods. Wishing you all much success!
