**Q: Can I apply Dye Defender, during a foil coloring process, to sections of hair to keep those sections color-free?**
A: I would use this more to protect the skin than others hair. I use Olaplex #2 between my foils.

**Q: Does this help with protecting when bleaching hair?**
A: This product protects the skin by your hairline.  I am not sure if that goes for bleaching as well.  It probably would help.  Just recommend you  apply it a little on the heavy side.  You might try getting in touch with the manufacturer and posing that question to them.  It works fine with hair dye.

**Q: Product arrived with the lid off!  I issued a return and will receive a new one but do you really want this back??**
A: Call customer service and ask them. I, too, have had this experience. Be sure and ask for confirmation email whatever they advise.

**Q: What does this smell like?**
A: I cannot give the scent a specific name, but I like. It smells kinda sweet...botanical-like. Not chemically at all. Good product!
