I've got several pair because I am in the woods 6 months of the year Turkey Hunting in the Spring, Deer hunting in the Fall and Bird hunting in the Winter. To me at the current price point these boots represent excellent value. I haven't worn them but once, so I will update this review (and the star rating) if anything changes.Pro'sRight out of the box, these boots look good and well made.Fairly lightweight at an actual 2.69 lbs per individual boot in 13D size.Expected fit was perfect in length and width.Very comfortable boot from the start. They require absolutely no break in.People with large calves should be OK with this boot. Diameter is about 7 inches. My calves are 6 inches so I had to cinch it closed with the buckleSemi aggressive sole to help you climb hills such as going up a creek bank without falling.Construction appears very good as far as cemented sole and stitching.I like the wide pull on in the boot shaft, it's very good for pulling the boots on. (see cons below)The leather used on this boot is very high quality and should last.The toe area is reinforced with a double layer of material to make it last longer. (I would have preferred leather)Cons:The cinch at the rear of the boot is thin plastic, but you might not use it very often when putting these on so it might be OKProtection: The top shaft of the boot slopes from 18 inches high in the front to 16 inches in the back. I don't like that but most snake boots are like this. I think it sacrifices protection from a snake bite at the sideThe large pulls at the top of the boot shaft are great for pulling them on, but allow trash from brush to fall inside the boot. They also leave you vulnerable from a high bite. The solution might be to have a flap of leather sewn on the pull holes at a shoe shop. Only sew the leather at the top to keep the pull functionality and close that large hole up when walking.Not listing this as a con, but while these boots are easy to get on, they are difficult to get off. However that is a good fit that keeps them from slipping up and down on your heel. So it's a trade off.Conclusion: Highly recommended, would buy them again.Update......just finished a 9 day turkey hunt wore these boots every day. They were very comfortable and waterproof in the swampy areas I hunted. Note these boots run true to size maybe a bit large so don't upsize. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars best snake boot and wears like a champ! *by L***T on Reviewed in the United States on July 4, 2018* Should have a sixth star for outstand in the field . Worn daily for nearly a year. They dig , they hike , they haul , they mud thru winter and cut high grass thru spring , they beath thru two summers now and my favorite they dry fast. Sole show no wear though a seam or two that appeared frayed when I purchased them have actually frayed slightly. The generously sized holes for pulling them on are large enough to use with gloves. Warm in winter cool in summer . Go on most days at dawn and come off at dark. Most of all they give me the confidence to go where no man should go wood pile, rock pile , high grass , woodlot and they breath. You get what you pay for some times. ..six stars for outstanding in a field of vipers in perfect comfort. Oh yeah. Guess I should mention that men and women have commented from time to time how good these boots look. Bought them a half size larger to accommodate Kevlar socks ...go with the half size larger as any tightness would interfere with the mechanic of the breather system , which works BTW like a charm. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Very well made and confortable *by G***Z on Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2018* Wow, I was a little hesitant spending this much on this kind of boots but they are great, very solid and comfortable I walked for like three hours in deep mud and thick brush probably ten different times already and perfect, feet stayed dry. It's sort of winter in Florida so there is no snakes yet but I hope I won't have to test that part but I feel so much better now walking around while hunting, specially at night. Driving of course is not easy with these on but I take some shoes to change before and after.
