For almost $200 I expected a thicker, heavier rug but this rug is thin and lightweight. I have purchased $60 rugs that were better than this. It also has a slight sheen to it that I do not particularly care for. I placed this rug on carpet and as you walk on it, it moves and also leaves indentions in the rug. I suppose that if this was placed on hardwoods the indentions would not be created but it would definitely slide and would need some type of rug padding under it. I could see this rug being placed outside on a patio and look okay but it did not give me the desired expensive look that I was looking for. Also the edging, where the last strain of the oval is being completed, is very irregular and does not give a nice finished look. It picks up the yellow rose in the painting above the table. It cleans easily with the stick vacuum. We recently got flooring, so the table would move into the center of the dining room easily.I like the soft yellow color. It’s soothing.
