Review: Works Great - The good thing about this item is that it rolls out to the length you need. I also have the tile type and they tend to separate. It keeps my cats from the couch and other areas I don't want them. The kitten is the one that tries to adventure in between the spikes since his paws are small. I definitely recommend.
Review: Works on crafty raccoons so far - Have a problem with raccoons using my pool as a bathroom, a common problem in South Florida. Unfortunately, the motion sensor spray system I had installed and worked well for a year did not deter some of the more determined and clever raccoons that worked out they had time between the sensor activations to nip into the pool, do their business and hop out avoiding the sprays once they get out. Raccoons paw pads are very sensitive so tried the scat mats at first on the pool edge which did not work, they hopscotched their way round and into the shallow end. So transferred and fitted enough mats together to fit in the shallow end shelf. Result, after a couple of attempts witnessed on my security camera, they avoid the pool completely now. The mats are not cheap but a lower cost than calling in the trapper.

The good thing about this item is that it rolls out to the length you need. I also have the tile type and they tend to separate. It keeps my cats from the couch and other areas I don't want them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great, but be aware of puncturing kitties paws!

While this is working great across the front of my new white sofa, it does take a while to relax from the curled shape of shipping, but curling it backwards for awhile helps. Not too much though, mine snapped in half. The other thing is... The plastic spikes are LONG - 1 inch - and fairly sharp/pointy. My 14 yr old cat puntured his paw apparently, he has been limping since the first time I put it out at night to discourage him from jumping up there. He's starting to get better after 4 days, but I felt really bad for doing that to him! Beware!
