They’re very similar to real drums and he has a good time playing with them and making a bunch of noise. These are louder than expected but that’s not a bad thing since that made it more fun for my little brother. They’re kind of small so it’s more suitable for small children ( my little brother is 2). The pieces sometimes fell apart which sucked but not a big complaint compared to how much my brother loves it. A little drum and cymbal kept coming off and that clip did eventually break. But I also gave it to a 3 year old for his birthday, so I expected it to last 3 days tops lol. But he still has the basic setup 3 months later!
