Review: Heavy duty chain - A heavy duty chain that I am using to pull out concreted fence posts that were cut short to support a deck, using a 6,000 pound farm jack. I pulled out 11 just 48 hours ago. I have about 40 more to go. This chain should last the rest of my life and my grandchildren’ lives. It’s a hoss, and should have countless uses through the years.
Review: Excellent chain - This pair of utility chains is just perfect for my retired tractor work. When you need a chain, nothing else will do. The gold plating looks nice, but it readily scratches off. The links are smooth without weld snags. The grab hooks are correctly sized for the chain links, so they hook back on itself very securely. The links and hooks are stamped as grade 70, so it should be the real thing. I have used one chain twice now for rigging and pulling a boulder. Works fine with no sign of distress.

- Industrial strength construction - The heat treated Grade 70 chain and hooks are intended to stand up to rigorous field use and harsh weather conditions. Zinc-dichromate plating provides corrosion resistance. The forged grab and slip hooks feature a heat treated load pin with a retaining cotter pin so they stay attached to the ends of your chain, but can also be removed if needed. The grab hook engages easily with 1/2" chain.
- Properly rated with your safety in mind - This heavy duty chain has a 6,600 pound Safe Working Load and is intended for use with a load binder that has at least the same load rating. The rating is based on a 4:1 safety factor. 4:1 is the correct safety factor, recommended by the NACM, and our chains are always rated properly. BEWARE: some other suppliers on the market do not rate their chains at a full 4:1 safety factor, which is not safe and can be very misleading to the user.
