Review: Cheaper but less performance RM480e replacement - Bought these to replace the Ryobi RM480e batteries 2 years ago and they are still going. However, there is a significant difference between the original Ryobi batteries (LEOCH) due to the lower maximum discharge current of 900A for 5 seconds vs 1200A for 5 seconds which makes cutting through tall or damp grass even more annoying than it already was with the original batteries. Plus the terminals on the these batteries are slightly different from the LEOCH batteries so you will need some washers to make sure the cable leads stay firmly attached. The batteries definitely work as advertised so if the RM480e already runs longer than you need it to and you cut your grass fairly often, these should be a suitable replacement since they are roughly half the price.
Review: Well packaged in two layers. Came just about fully charged. My application is a large UPS. - I'm using it for the pellet stove, boiler and modem and router so the genny don't need to run 24/7. Contrary to other reviews, this is rated for a 27 Amp charge but the harder the charge or discharge, the shorter life it will have. Also, the deeper the discharge, the shorter the life. It's just the nature of this 1980's AGM technology. Still, in their element, they are excellent. It came with super long bolts---like maybe 25 mm!---so a 300 Amp ring terminal is no problem at all! Safety Note: Ensure that you use a fuse to protect your wires in case of a short since the SSCR is an insane 1800 Amps!

**Q: My battery arrived with no screws.  What size/threading do I need?**
A: It's a 6mm bolt.

**Q: Ok to wire four in series for a 48 volt all battery powered riding lawn mower?**
A: Someone stated you can only charge them at a rate of 2a per hour. Thats per CELL. There are 6 cells in each battery making this 13v 12a charging, perfect for solar charging.

**Q: can this be charged with an alternator without overheating?**
A: I have 80 of these in series and abuse them a lot. With a steady discharge current of 200A (empties the battery in 10-15 mins). 
They take it pretty well. Of course I’m significantly lowering the expected life time. But they are fine. 

2C is not recommended but is an ok charge current for lead acid batteries. These are 100Ah. So 200A is an ok charge current for them. Just make sure the voltage does not go up more than 13.8 (I do 14.5 per battery for fast charging but again, it lowers battery’s life expectancy)

**Q: Is this compatible with renogy rover 20a mppt?**
A: Compatible with most anything 12 volt rated

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seems like a good battery.

This is the 1st time Ive bought this brand of battery and I bought it mainly because it was a few bucks cheaper than others listed on Amazon. Having said that, the battery arrived very well packed and in perfect condition. It messured 12.98 volts out of the box, so fully charged. Most of the hardware needed to install the battery was present except for one washer. I added this battery in parallel to an existing bank of batteries and needed to attach 2 cables to each pole. I had no trouble doing this with the included bolts but if you need to attach more than two cables to each pole, you may need bolts longer than those supplied. Just be careful using longer bolts as you dont want to have them break through the battery casing when you tighten them. The supplied bolts are not long enough to do this. My other batteries are 200ah Renogy's. It'll be interesting to see how they all perform over time.
