I can't see these breaking down too fast but we'll see after I put them to work. Love the hard toe, can't tell if it's steel or plastic but it's definitely solid. Love the zippers down the side, makes it so much easier to put these on in a rush. Came with a really nice pair of socks, too. Can't beat that. My only concern is the heel seems to be a bit narrow(?), either that or it's just too far inward so it kind of rubs against your heel when you pull em nice and tight. I don't see it being a problem but I'm gonna keep wearing them for the next few weeks and update this review if I have any issues. Altogether these are a solid 4 for now. If they hold up to the test of time I'll definitely be giving them a 5 cause they're great looking and great feeling.Edit: have had these about a year and a half now. They aren't my daily wear, but I've certainly beat the hell out of them and they stood the test of time.
