While they certainly are sturdy enough to hold your weight, unless you bolt them to the floor, I don't think I'd do hand stand push-ups on them. Typical parallettes are around 24"lx14"wx12"h.** A: You are right. In the description it does says that these "Measures 9 x 17 x 3 inches" which is a lie. This thing is only 9 inches high, which is almost half as high and makes it almost impossible to do quality dips with if you are an adult. Kids can do okay dips. **Q: I have a pair that are 6 inches high at a max height. Would the 9 inch height make it tougher and provide more resistance?** A: If you’re talking about just doing push-ups, I don’t think so.
