I've had a terrible time standing up to cook, do housework, etc.. This brace really helps support my lower back so I can stand for an hour, or so. It doesn't eliminate the pain, but keeps it in check. For example, I love to cook and haven't been able to for about two years. I wore the brace yesterday, cooked a full meal, and cleaned the kitchen. Doesn't sound like much, but it's a lot more than I've been able to do! If you have lower back pain, I recommend giving this brace a try. Also, the company is wonderful! It actually made my back straighten up right away. Even sitting in a chair, my back still was straight. Did a short workout and, no sweat. Wore it for a couple of hours and it felt so good that I didn't want to take it off. I believe this belt will help me strengthen my back ans abdominal muscles over time.
