The suction power is weak so holding it with one hand works better than trying to keep it stuck to the side of the sink. But the shapes and bumps on the surface and adding some regular antibacterial soap worked well. I didn't wash my brushes... Like ever. (Shhh its not the time to judge me, just the product) I cleaned them with this and they look brand new and my cheap brushes didn't fall apart while using it!
