The tongue behind the laces is so tight I had to work at for 10 minutes of grunting to finally get it to slip on. A minor point; the laces had to be laced first after using a lighted magnifying glass to untie the tight knot. ???? It feels good once it's finally on though. If someone had someone to help them put it on once a day for the full day I think it could be really useful or if someone is young and more fit (of course) it would go easier. Perhaps I ordered the wrong size or the mild swelling in my foot and ankle needs to reduce before this will go on easier. For now I will put it off to the side then try it again once the swelling is gone. That kinda defeats the purpose though. I have a walking boot coming in a couple of days that might work better for the first 2-4 weeks then this one as a stabilizer after that. If I find it goes on easier later on I will come back and revise the review rating. I know the device works well for a lot of people. Perhaps I'm just too old and busted for this particular one. I want to give it a good review because it does give great support and stabilization once it's on. I think this is more for long term than short term stabilization. Update: I did find the brace easier to put on when wearing a sock so I added a star.
