As someone else says, it's 2.25" wide, so that is the limiting factor. Sure, as with all capo's on 12 strings, you need to have enough tension to pull down the big fat low E far enough that the octave string next to it is also pulled down, which does result in excessive bending of the low E. But at least with this capo you can dial that in. I've always used a fixed tension capo in the past that presses far too hard on the strings and pulls the strings too far out of tune.
