It is very challenging finding the best product for 4C course hair.So, in the before picture: I shampoo, blow dry, and put a argon oil heat protectant on the hair. I read the directions for the product thoroughly before using the flat on. Heat was set to 430° and full steam. During usage, I can tell the hair wasn’t extremely straight but it was straightening it to the point of it being manageable. Halfway between completing my hair, the water reservoir emptied and I refused to shut the flat irons off to wait for it to completely cooled down before refilling. So, I did experience water spills while completing the rest of the head.Ending results of the hair is not super straight.. definitely not salon straight, however, it’s straightens the hair enough to increase manageability and decrease breakage.I would recommend this product if you just want to loosen the curl pattern for easy styling. If you want the usual straight hair look, keep searching.
