I trimmed these as necessary, applied them, repositioned if needed, then they stayed on through the day. I once accidentally laundered a shirt with these on, the shields stayed on and then came off without leaving a residue, thank goodness. I did not use them for an excessive sweating issue, but for traveling; to wear shirts longer between washings. They work perfectly for that, including summertime backpack-wearing (which shoves my shirt into the underarm area lovely), but I don't know about heavy sweating. ### ⭐ Disappointment *by P***N on Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2012* I purchased these guards and I must say that I am very disappointed with them because they do not work very well. The amount of adhesive that is on them does not allow the guards to adhere to the fabric and stay in place. They are such a disappointment.
