Doesn't really get old to me. They're not hard and flavor sort of reminds me of the old slimfast bars.I order them a lot, not had any issues with shipping aside from fat separating out due to the heat of shipping in summer making white streaks on the chocolate (still tastes the same).That said, if the price doesn't stop going up to around the price per bar of buying a bar in the store then I might not order them much longer. These are soft, fluffy, a little chewy, and taste a little like a pb cup. ^^ The chocolate is also of good quality. I discovered that protean wakes me up better then coffee when I'm really sick so from now on will always have a box of these handy..... and to snack on when I'm not in the mood to cook. The gass stations and grocery stores for some reason stopped selling this and went with other protean bars... all the ones I hate. Too many are hard or so chewy you are afraid you are going to lose a tooth while chomping away. This bar is soft and easy to eat. I found the texture very appealing. However, I even though I enjoyed the bar, I did not love the flavor. There was something "off" about it for me. It could just be that I didn't enjoy the flavor, so I am going to try another flavor and give the brand another chance. I don't want to give up on it yet. There is real potiential here and I hate to discard a great product if I just ordered the wrong flavor (for me). But, this is just my opinion. I am sure there are many people that love this flavor.
