Lovely Setting Spray *by A***L on August 28, 2018* I tried the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray, NYX, you name it and my makeup always seemed to be sliding off by the end of my work shift. I started using this as a primer, but it turns out my skin loves the aloe, rosewater, and other great extracts in it. I often find myself mixing it with moisturizer all of the time because it just makes my skin smooth and beautiful.It does work well as a primer/setting spray and keeps the shine off of my oily skin for most of the day. Works wonderful, doesn't have overwhelming smell but does have a scent to it. It doesn’t work on me. ### ⭐⭐ Good spray but not for me *by T***I on May 23, 2016* I really wanted to give the Setting Spray a good amount of time before I review it just to make sure that I had a good grasp on the product.What I really do enjoy about this spray is actually the smell. The smell is great! I don't mind spritzing this stuff onto my face every single morning and the fact that there's nothing harmful or artificial in it makes it even better. I also appreciate the pump, no matter how silly that sounds. I've purchased many products where the pumps would start to break down on you after the first couple initial sprays and I had to purchase another pump just to use the product. I also appreciate how evenly distributed the product comes out.Upon the recommendations provided in an email that I received after putting in this order, I do spritz this onto my face right after I come out of the shower and find that it's very hydrating. However, when I use this in combination with my makeup, I don't always get the same effect.In combination with my more hydrating foundations, such as my Makeup Forever HD or the Maybelline Dream Mousse, I found that the spray adds a nice glow afterwards but that's only because I don't set my makeup with a powder and these foundations are already very hydrating. For days when I do use a powder, such as the Mac powder foundation, the spray doesn't actually do anything for me. I don't feel like it hydrates my skin and gets rid of the cakey makeup look. I also don't find that it sets my makeup any faster than the usual setting time.I've tried to experiment with the setting spray on many different occasions as well. I've sprayed this stuff onto my face after each makeup application and found that that does somewhat help but I've also found that I'm using up more of the product than I intend to.I've come to conclude that while this setting spray does smell great, is cruelty-free and doesn't contain anything harmful for my skin, the product itself just doesn't work for my dry skin type.
