Nutty taste
Camelina oil has become a staple in my kitchen, and I'm continually impressed by its remarkable health benefits and delightful nutty taste. As a health-conscious individual, this oil has become my go-to choice for various culinary applications.First and foremost, the health benefits of camelina oil are exceptional. Its rich omega-3 fatty acid content contributes to heart health by reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases and promoting a balanced cholesterol profile. I appreciate that it provides a favorable omega-3 to omega-6 ratio, supporting an anti-inflammatory diet which is vital for overall well-being.The nutty taste of camelina oil adds a delightful dimension to my dishes. It brings a unique and earthy flavor that enhances the taste of salads, stir-fries, and even baked goods. I find it especially appealing when drizzled over roasted vegetables, adding a subtle richness that elevates the entire meal.Additionally, camelina oil's high smoke point makes it versatile for cooking at various temperatures without losing its nutritional value. It's reassuring to know that I can use this oil for a range of cooking methods, from sautéing to baking, without worrying about harmful compounds forming at high heat. Moreover, the natural antioxidants present in camelina oil contribute to its long shelf life, ensuring that the oil remains fresh and flavorful for an extended period. This longevity is a practical and economical aspect that aligns with my desire for sustainable and efficient kitchen practices. In conclusion, camelina oil has won me over with its dual appeal of health benefits and a delightful nutty taste. It has become an indispensable ingredient in my kitchen, allowing me to prioritize both my health and culinary enjoyment. I highly recommend incorporating camelina oil into your daily cooking—it's a small change that can make a big difference in your overall well-being and gastronomic experiences.

AMAZING FLAVOR/HIGH OMEGA 3 OIL!!
I heard a French naturopath talk about this oil and was happy to find a source available here in the US. This oil is AMAZING. The flavor is superb and quality is amazing. The company sent a sample of the roasted seeds and WOW they are so tasty. They are also available on Amazon. Delicious sprinkled on anyway. I"m obsessed with these products!!

Healthier than canola or olive oil. Much better shelf life than flax oil.
First off, I was sent a free sample of camelina seeds with my purchase which was a nice surprise!I purchased this for its low ratio of omega 6 (inflammatory) to omega 3 (anti-inflammatory.) Camelina has a ratio of 1.5:1 - in contrast, olive oil has a 12.8:1 ratio, avocado oil has a 13.09:1 ratio, canola oil and hemp oil have a 2:1 ratio; and coconut, grape seed, and peanut oil are off the charts (some of the worst omega 3 to 6 ratios among any food). The only oil with a better omega 3 to 6 ratio would be flax, but as omega 3 spoils quickly, it can be impractical to use. I can't afford to toss out expensive oil after just a week or two. What I love about this oil is that its naturally high vitamin E content functions as a natural preservative, and allows it to stay fresh for far, far longer than flax. The only healthier fat source would be using flax oil, marine algae oil, or whole ground flax or chia. Camelina is a more *versatile* alternative to these foods, and a *healthier* alternative to pretty much every other fat source besides these. The price per oz is comparable to a medium quality olive oil.The flavor is slightly nutty, slightly green like spinach, but isn't too strong. Not too noticeable mixed into a dish.If you can afford it, I feel it's worth it. If not, use canola oil.For more info on omega 3/6 effects and the ratios of different foods Google "omega 3 6 ratio wiki." There's an excellent Wikipedia on the subject.

Love the taste
This oil is not very well know but it is a powerhouse! To cook with (with or without heat), can cook with high heat without destroying the nutrients. Taste good right off the spoon, a good massage oil, great for skin, scalp and hair. I even oil pull with it.The health benefits are up there if not better than high polyphenol evoo.I love it.

Too green tasting
Am a tad disappointed in the taste. It is too green tasting. I M looking for an algae oil. Clean and no flavor. This is not what I expected. My daughter is more into unusual tastes and she didn't care for this oil.

A very interesting and tasty oil to add to your various dishes.
A taste all its own, adds to the flavour of a salad or cooked dish in a very good way. The fact that it is a Canadian product also was appealing. Recommended *****
