A: Hello, the LuxHeat floor heating system must be covered with a mortar or self-leveling compound, this provides sufficient heatsink, and promotes even heat distribution throughout the floor.

**Q: Any instructions on how to connect multiple Mats to the same thermostat?**
A: Hello, you can connect multiple mats to a single thermostat provided you do not exceed the max load. The max load on a 240 circuit is 3600watts (300sqft of heating at 12w/sqft). We recommend pulling all cold leads to the junction box and connecting direct to thermostat.

**Q: Can this be installed under the rubber gym flooring?**
A: Hello, as per installation instructions, the LuxHeat Floor Heating System must be embedded in a self-leveling compound or Thinset. This ensures even heat distribution and sufficient heat-sink. In addition to this, we would not recommend installing floor heating under a floor covering with a high R-Value (insulation properties) as this can trap the heat causing the cable to overheat. I would think the rubber gym mat would act as a good insulator and therefore would not recommend installing a heating system below it.

**Q: Can you use the luxheat mat and thinset under schluter ditra?**
A: Hello, yes, the LuxHeat mat system can be installed under ditra membrane. We would recommend reviewing the Ditra Membrane Installation Handbook (page 10) for any limitations or requirements.
